The ricky gervais show features Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant and karl Pilkington engaging in random converse. Each episode lasts around half an hour and tend to diverge into a session of abuse directed at karl and his short comings.
There have now been three series along with various specials including "The Podfather Trilogy" and an episode previously exclusive to goers of Gervais' live stand up show "Fame" but now it's available for all to revel in.
In the original series of twelve podcasts Karl discusses many hot topics including, the downside of life-saving medicine, how he could "eat a knob at night" & the rarity of a homeless Chinese person.
All twelve episodes are available to download exclusively form from iTunes or Audible.co.uk
Despite having to pay this time, series 2 became an instant chart topper. It continues with the same formula of drivel and karlisms from series 1.
Although Karl gets confused when pondering the idea of a doppelganger he still attempts to grasp the concept of a multi-universe. We get a welcome return of XFM's Rockbusters where Karl gives the initials of a band or artist along with a "cryptic" clue in order for listeners to email in with the answers. Good stuff.
All six episodes are available to download exclusively form from iTunes or Audible.co.uk
Another six episodes arrive in the form of series 3 in which Karl gets a little insect heavy when he describes the time he saw a bee having a heart attack and how moths are depressing because they don't have eyes.
This series sees Karl's kidney stone fiasco & how the coldness of an ash tray can get rid of the badness from a stomach ache. We learn about how the sea is becoming over crowded and how everything is getting pushed towards the edge. Great stuff.
All six episodes are available to download exclusively form from iTunes or Audible.co.uk
The three podcasters went back to their roots after series 3 and offered three FREE podcasts dubbed "The Podfather Trilogy"
You will find karl stressing out about how ridgid our yearly calendar is with events such as christmas and pancake day clogging it up. He gets the oppotunity to choose five people to help him create a new society on a distant planet, which ends up more like five people he has seen on TV and would like to invite round for a dinner party.
The trilogy is available to download through Rickygervais.com
Ricky has recorded a special and exlusive episode of "The Ricky Gervais Show", Karl's savant-like qualities are on full show as he recounts his experiences of woefully inadequate tradesmen, a free-form film treatment and brings news of his latest literary foray, "Happy Slapped By A Jellyfish"
