Bedford Square Development - Houghton Regis
The £4.6 million regeneration project will comprise of : -
- New Library
- New Health Clinic
- Remodelled Community Centre
- New ‘Citizone’ Point of Presence
- New Public Conveniences
- Improvements at Thomas Whitehead C of E School
- Completion of Refurbishment of Public Areas
The £4 million cash injection from central government will be invested to improve the public buildings for the people of Houghton Regis.
The development will include a new library and health clinic with a new welcoming enclosed arrival and reception area. Access will be from both Bedford Square and Tithe Farm Road. New public conveniences and a ‘Citizone’ Point of Presence will also be provided.
The development will also extensively remodel and refurbish the existing community centre and complete the resurfacing of the public walkways and areas in Bedford Square.
Improvements at Thomas Whitehead C of E School will include a new playground, games area and additional classroom space.
